The Ephorate of Antiquities of Chios is announcing the opening of a new temporary exhibition with the title \u201cThe Harbor Sanctuary at Emporio\u201d on Tuesday September 19th<\/sup> 2017. The central exhibits are two Archaic marble Kouroi and part of a Kore statues, discovered together with numerous other votive offerings in the excavation between the years 2002-2006, in the Vasilis heirs land plot, at the foot of the prehistoric acropolis of Emporio. The land plot is located inside the wider area occupied by the so-called \u201cHarbor Sanctuary\u201d, which was dedicated to Apollo and Artemis, and flourished during the 6th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> century B.C.<\/p>\n

Opening hours, identical to the Museum, daily except Monday, 8:00 to 15:00; tickets 2\u20ac.<\/p>\n
