The Ephorate of Antiquities of Chios, participating in the Green Cultural Routes campaign, is organizing a walking tour of the old trails that lead up to the 11th<\/sup> century Byzantine monastery of Nea Moni.<\/p>\n

Starting off at the Agioi Pateres monastery, we shall hike up the old trail that leads to Nea Moni.<\/p>\n

After visiting the monastery and being guided around the restoration project of the opus sectile floors of the Katholikon, we shall continue our walk along the old picturesque trail, pass by the church of Agios Antonios, and end up in the junction to Agios Markos monastery.<\/p>\n

Transportation to and from the city of Chios will be by bus, free of charge.<\/p>\n
