The Ephorate of Antiquiteis of Chios, on Friday August 17th<\/sup> 2018, is organizing a day event dedicated to the Castle of Chios with the title \u201cResearch findings from the recent projects in the land walls of the Castle of Chios\u201d.<\/p>\n

Over the last year and a half, the Ephorate is carrying out the restoration project of the land walls under the European Community Partnership Agreement 2014-2020 program. During this day event, the three supervisors of the project will present new findings that came to light during the project.<\/p>\n

The Director of the Italian Archaeological School Emanuele Papi will be an honored guest; he will present and talk on the contribution of the Italian School and Italian scholarship to the research on the Castle and the medieval monuments of Chios.<\/p>\n

The day event will be held in the \u201cDark Prison\u201d of the Castle of Chios at 11:00; there will be a reception at the end of the event.<\/p>\n

Admission free of charge.<\/p>\n
