BLOG YOUR HERITAGE – Unblock the Past, Share for the Future

For the academic year 2018-2019, the 1^st Professional High School of Chios will participate in the educational program “BLOG YOUR HERITAGE – Unblock the Past, Share for the Future“, which is part of the celebrations for the European Cultural Heritage Year 2018 by the Department of Educational Programs and Communication, of the Directorate of Archaeological Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programs of the Ministry of Culture.

The primary of if this program is the design and management by students of blogs around the subject of local cultural heritage in its timeless and European perspective. Employing new digital technology, the student body will approach the history of their region, examine material evidence, intangible cultural heritage and modern artictic production, communicate in a creative manner, and at the same time contribute to the dissemination of the significant identity of the region around the intenet.

At the end of the school year 2018-2019, the team of the 1^st Professional High School of Chios together with 9 other teams from participating schools (1^st Professional High School of Kaisariani, 1^st Professional High School of Petroupoli, 1^st Professional High School of Chalkis, 7^th Professional High School of Nafplio, 7^th Professional High School of Thessaloniki, 1^st Professional High School of Ierapetra, Professional High School of of Lasithi, Professional High School of of Akrotiri at Chania, 1^st Professional High School of Myrina) will compete for the three best blogs, judged on their originality, their individuality, aesthetics, enduring content, and the thematic range of their approach, as well as the popularity of the blogs on the internet.
