25 Oct EUROPEAN MUSIC DAY 2018
The Ephorate of Antiquities of Chios and the Music School of Chios will celebrate the European Music Day 2018 in the courtyard of the Ottoman Bath in the Castle of Chios on Thursday June 21st at 20:30.
The event will consist of two parts. The first part will be a tribute to the life and work of Domna Samiou, prepared by the students of the 4th Gymnasium of Chios under teacher Maria Frangkaki.
In the second part, the students of the Music School of Chios will perform music from the Aegean and the coast of Asia Minor. Songs and music from Chios, Oinousses and Psara will then give way to a musical journey around the Dodecanese, and even as far as Nisyros, Rhodes and Symi.
The event will be held in cooperation with the MOUSA ELLINIKI Society of Culture.
Admission will be free of charge.
