Film screening of “The tree we hurt”, director: Dimis Abdeliodis

One of the most poetic films in Greek cinema, it deals with the subjects of childhood innocence, friendship and the coming of age. The film narrates the story of two young boys, which will spend their vacation in the so-called Mastic villages of Chios in 1960, among the mastic shrubs, i.e. the trees that are hurt and produce the glistening “tears” of mastic resin.

The film will be screened in the courtyard of the Byzantine Museum of Chios, at 21:00.

Admission free of charge.
