On May 18th 2019, Museums celebrate with events that, for this year, are devoted to the subject “Museums as cultural nodes: the future of tradition”.
On this day, admission to the Museums and archaeological sites of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Chios will be free of charge for the public; there will also be guided tours by archaeologists of the Ephorate in the Byzantine Museum from 22:00 to 1:30.
The planned event “Museums without walls: a new digital reality in the Museums of Chios” will be postponed, as, on the same day, the Ephorate will participate in the Ministry of Culture and Sports event “Not all is ephemeral” in the Archaeological Museum of Mytilene.
