PSARA – AN OUTPOST ON THE PERIPHERY OF THE MYCENAEAN WORLD

The book presents the archaeological site of Archontiki at Psara, a une location in the NE Aegean that combines a flourishing Late Bronze Age settlement, and the sole excavated, thus far, cemetery of the early and late Bronze era, where, during the 8th century B.C., a worship center of the mythical figures of the past was established, revealing a need to link the clans with the “heroic past” of the Homeric epic poems.
