THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL COLLECTION OF VOLISSOS IN CHIOS

THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL COLLECTION OF VOLISSOS IN CHIOS

“The land of Ariousia has the finest of Greek wines.” In the central square of Volissos in Chios stands one of the most notable surviving buildings, the so-called Konaki, previously owned by the Mbelegrinis family, a 19th century, three-storey, stone building.

The book published by the 20th Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities presents the restoration and enhancement project of the building, and its conversion to an archaeological collection.
